a traveling installation and experiential workshop series (ongoing)
through her ongoing Alchemy Arcade series, seiu investigates the neurological and emotional architecture of transformation. Drawing from Jugian psychology, somatic awareness, and the material intelligence of clay, seiu translates inner states into tactile gestures, following the subtle transitions between perception and form: how a fleeting emotion might surface as pattern, and how touch itself can become a rehearsal for remembering.
conceived as a traveling installation and participatory laboratory, Alchemy Arcade moves between cities and residencies, adapting to each site as both a studio and a field of observation. within this framework, participants engage in processes of making that mirror cognitive integration--reflection, repetition, and release--revealing how the psyche rehearses renewal through material form.
within the installation of Alchemy Arcade, this translation extends into motion, play, and encounter. designed as a tabletop field of prompts and relics, the work invites participants to traverse an imaginative terrain mapped by chance. guided by a ceramics "spirit companion" chosen from Seiu's evolving archive of ghost forms, they cast dice, move through embroidered patches, draw cards, ad follow cryptic instructions--each an activation of intuition and embodied cognition. in this shifting space, the line between artwork and psyche begins to blur: symbols answer questions, gestures echo thoughts, and the journey outward becomes a mirror of the mind's inward unfolding.
